New City Catechism #4
How and why did God create us?
God created us male and female in his own image to know him, love him, live with him, and glorify him. And it is right that we who were created by God should live to his glory.
Have you ever considered that our genders reflect the image of God?
Just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct persons yet share the same nature, so too do men and women share the same nature.
And how much more when we consider the marriage relationship where the man and the woman become one flesh!
There are differences, but there is unity. 
Consider the implications of these statements in the light of a very confused culture right now. 

Thanksgiving Sunday. This Sunday we will have our sharing service. Thank you for considering how you can give glory to God and bless one another by sharing what God has been doing in you and your family’s lives.

Operation Christmas Child. Thank you Mercedes for volunteering to take care of this. I have ordered the boxes and they will be in soon.

Plan to Protect. Thanks for getting the training completed and a reminder for those who still need to do so.

Far East Broadcasting Dinner. Talk to Jim and Wilma if you are able to attend on Tuesday Oct. 22. They need to know by Oct. 20. 

Samaritan’s Purse are our missions focus this month. Please pray for them and the great work they do in the name of Jesus around the world.
